ABOUT THE ESCANABA ASHLEY FURNITURE HOMESTORE: Roger's Furniture started on 3rd Avenue North in Escanaba 20 years ago. It was founded by Roger and Mary Jane Jensen of Gladstone. They purchased the historic building in 1981 to use as a moving and storage company, Guindon Moving & Storage. They expanded ten years later to include Roger's Furniture. The store started as a warehouse concept and transitioned into a unique home furnishing experience. Over the years, the store starting busting at the seams with product and it was decided to expand the business. The only way to accomplish that was to move out onto the highway on N. Lincoln Rd. The next logical move was the Ashley Furniture HomeStore concept. This enabled us to remain locally owned and operated, but have the tremendous support of the fastest growing retailer in North America. Our Escanaba HomeStore was the 239th store to open as an Ashley Furniture HomeStore licensee. In addition to Ashley brand furniture, we also carry Simmons & Tempurpedic bedding, electric fireplaces, and quality home accessories. Being an Ashley Furniture HomeStore, it enables us to offer the customers factory direct pricing on their entire product line including Simmons mattresses and home accessories.
